The Weight Before a Decision

The felt sense of indetermination — the heavy moment before a choice is made.

There is a small decision available to you right now. Not an important one — that's not what this session is about. Something minor: whether to shift how you're sitting, whether to adjust your posture, whether to move your hands. You don't need to make the decision. In fact, for right now, don't make it. Just notice that the option is there. A small fork exists. Something could go one way or another. Stay in the space just before you choose. Now, in that space — before the action, while the decision is still open — find where it lives in your body. Decisions, even trivial ones, have a physical address. Many people find it in the center of the chest, a kind of gathering there, a subtle compression. Others find it in the belly, a low-level density. Some notice it in the hands, a readiness that has arrived but not yet been released. Find where yours is right now. Not where you think it should be — where it actually is.
